HB Aluminium Fabrications Ltd manufactures and installs aluminium curtain walling, windows, shopfronts and entrances for commercial buildings. The business has been based on the outskirts of Leeds city centre since it was established, on the site of the former Fowler engine works.
Trading since 1981, HB is best known for its work with McDonald's: for over 35 years it has fitted shopfronts and entrances, installed drive-thru booths and kept them running. Many of the team have been with the business for over 20 years.
HB describes itself as a close-knit, family-oriented workforce. Its fabricators and site fixing teams are directly employed, and some have been with the business since leaving school. That continuity matters to the contractors, architects and property teams it works with.

How long has HB Aluminium been trading?
HB Aluminium has been trading from Leeds since 1981, and many of the team have been with the company for over 20 years.
Do you make the frames yourselves?
Yes. Frames are fabricated in our Leeds factory using Kestrel and Novastruct aluminium systems, and installed by our own teams.
Where do you work?
We install and maintain across the UK. Most of our main contractor work is within about 100 miles of Leeds, and our McDonald's drive-thru work is countrywide.
Who do you work for?
Mainly main contractors, plus retailers, restaurant operators, property and facilities managers and architects. We have worked with McDonald's for over 35 years.
